Night Trains: The Death of Me

So last night I rode the night train from Rome to Vienna, Austria. 14 hours in length. I took the cheap option and just paid for a regular seat in 2nd class rather than a bunk. Turns out its incredibly difficult to get comfortable enough to sleep on a brightly lit, bumpy, frequently stopping train. But I was decked out with ear plugs, an eye mask, and an inflatable pillow that wraps around my neck—the definition of prepared.
